Now whistle and bodhrán students can learn to play online via Skype! You'll need a broadband internet connection, a Skype account (free), a Web camera and microphone on your PC or Mac. All sessions are purchased in advanced easily via credit card (PayPal). We can also discuss discounts for a prepaid series of lessons.
Why online? I'll be spending much of 2011 on the road, so this way you can begin or keep up with personal, 1-on-1 lessons, regardless of your location or mine.

Online Irish Whistle Lesson -- 1 hour
Every child in Ireland learns to play the whistle and you can too. Beginning students learn the basics -- holding the instrument, basic fingering and breathing and basic tunes. More advanced students learn ornamentation, expression & advanced tunes/tune sets. Gift lessons/subscriptions are available.

The bodhrán is the heartbeat of Irish traditional music. Beginning students will learn how to hold the drum, the role of the right and left hand and basic traditional rhythms. More advanced students will work on ornamentation and accompaniment styles. All students will be schooled in session etiquette. Gift lessons/subscriptions are available.
